Faces for Hope empowers Maasai girls

Naikaba Philipo.png

My name is Naikaba.

I am a 13 year old Maasai girl. I live in the bush area of Longido, Tanzania. My father has six wives, and my mother has six children, who are all girls. My father left my mother, and then my mother went crazy. She is unable to take care of any of us. My older sister saw that my other sisters were being sold, so she took us younger sisters in, so we would not get sold. My older sister now takes care of us, and gathers firewood and sells charcoal to feed us. She helped me find F4H, in hopes that I get to go to school.

Maria Papala.png

Hi, I'm Maria.

am a 15 year old Maasai girl and I live in the village of Longido, Tanzania. My father has two wives and my mom has 5 children. My mama heard of F4H through her women’s group at church. My father wanted me to get married, but after I passed my exam, he said I could go to high school, but he won’t pay for it. I am the first person in my family who has passed exams well enough to go to high school. I will work very heard if I get the chance to go to high school.
