Every day around the globe,
39,000 girls are forced into early marriage.
That is 27 girls per minute.
Faces for Hope empowers Maasai girls
through relationship, discipleship and education,
so that they have the freedom to dream of futures
beyond exploitation as child brides.
My name is Nayage.
I am a 13 year old Masaai girl and I live in a very dusty, dry part of the area of Engikaret, Tanzania. My father has died and left two wives and 7 children. I am the first born in my family. My mother has looked everywhere for help for me to go to school. I really want to go to school so I can become a nurse. I want to help my community. In my culture, if I do not go to school, an uncle can sell me to become a child bride. My mom has no say. Please help me to go to school. Thank you.
God Bless you, Nayage
Hi, I'm Maria.
I am a 15 year old Maasai girl and I live in the village of Longido, Tanzania. My father has two wives and my mom has 5 children. My mama heard of F4H through her women’s group at church. My father wanted me to get married, but after I passed my exam, he said I could go to high school, but he won’t pay for it. I am the first person in my family who has passed exams well enough to go to high school. I will work very heard if I get the chance to go to high school.
