Faces for Hope exists to offer education, relationship, and discipleship to Maasai girls at risk of forced early marriage.
“Let the little children come to me... for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14
Faces for Hope is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to giving Maasai girls in northern Tanzania something many have never had—the opportunity to choose their own future. In the traditional communities we serve, girls have little voice in decisions about their lives and are given in marriage at a young age. Education provides the path to her new future.
Through education and Christian discipleship, we want every girl to know that she is created in the image of God, has tremendous value and purpose, and can have hope for a different future.
We fulfill this mission through two programs. Faces for Hope Primary School provides free, high-quality education and Christian discipleship to children in Laandari, a village that previously had no local school. The Faces for Hope Sponsorship Program provides girls who have completed primary school (7th grade) with the comprehensive support they need to continue through high school and beyond—including tuition, school supplies, clothing, mentorship, and discipleship. Sponsored girls also have access to The Hope House, a safe and supportive home during school breaks that provides tutoring, educational enrichment, discipleship, and a community where they can learn and grow. Faces for Hope does more than send girls to school—we walk alongside them, giving them the education, support, and spiritual foundation to discover their God-given potential and the opportunity to choose a future of faith, hope, and purpose.
